Washington, D.C. – U.S. President Donald Trump hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House for high-level discussions focused primarily on Iran and ongoing diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran.

According to the President, no final decision has been made regarding the future course of action toward Iran, but he emphasized his preference for continuing negotiations in hopes of reaching a diplomatic agreement.

Focus on Iran Negotiations

In a statement released after the meeting, Trump described the talks with Netanyahu and his delegation as productive and reaffirmed the strong relationship between the United States and Israel.

“I have just concluded a very good meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu and his representatives. The relationship between our two countries remains excellent,” Trump said.

The President confirmed that while no definitive outcome was reached, he made clear his position in favor of ongoing dialogue with Iran.

“I stressed the importance of continuing negotiations to determine whether a deal can be achieved. If an agreement is possible, that would be the preferred outcome. If not, we will have to evaluate the situation and determine the next steps,” he added.

Warning and Expectations for Tehran

Trump also referred to past tensions with Tehran, noting that Iran previously chose not to finalize an agreement and instead faced significant consequences. He expressed hope that Iranian leadership would adopt a more pragmatic and responsible approach this time.

The remarks suggest that while diplomacy remains the priority, alternative options could be considered if talks fail to produce results.

Broader Regional Developments

In addition to Iran, the leaders discussed the broader security situation in the Middle East, including developments in Gaza and regional stability. Trump highlighted what he described as positive progress and expressed optimism about improving conditions across the region.

“There is real progress being made in Gaza and throughout the Middle East,” the President said, signaling a broader focus on maintaining stability and reducing tensions.

The meeting underscores ongoing coordination between Washington and Jerusalem as the United States continues to balance diplomatic engagement with Iran alongside its strategic partnership with Israel.
